Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas everyone. Wishing you all a happy Christmas from the Management Team with family, fun and laughter all around.

This year has seen great advancement and big changes. Well done to all for a fantastic year with particular thanks to our fabulous management team. We completed 12 months of hard work and managed to rebuild Uforic albeit with a few false starts with one launch and one name change to the James Martin. The naming event was a huge success with the Minister for Veterans Affairs Matt Keogh in attendance and on channel 9 news nationally with more than 59000 ‘Facebook views. Well done to all involved. The Management Team have been working hard to make a better more professional association but never losing focus on why we exist to support Veterans. We have appointed two Patrons this year. Patron West Stephen Knight and Patron East Rear Admiral Peter Laver and appreciate everything they are doing to help us develop more capability for our members.

A massive thanks to Stephen, Dean, Reece and Lachlan to mention a few that put in a fantastic effort. As a result of their efforts, we have a new strategy and business plan about to be released, signed a Heads of Agreement creating a new maintenance facility at Henderson and the use of offices(with Swimming pool) in Fremantle, set up major opportunities for next year including future ocean pens in the north, funding events and about to release our first ever annual report.

Well done for a fantastic effort and I look forward to another big year and some major sailing activities with trips away.

Thanks for a fantastic year.
